So generally to do that, breakfast and lunch are mostly plants and then dinner time usually is some kind of lean protein with vegetables. 'That doesn’t mean my plate is 50/50, that’s the calories. So when I am doing that, around 50% of my calories are coming from plants and the other half are coming from processed foods. '80% of the time I really try to be conscious about what I’m having and 20% of the time I just relax and enjoy myself and get caught up in it and have a good time. Joe lives by the philosophy of the 80/20 rule when it comes to his own diet and strongly believes in allowing yourself some occasional treats. 'Now that I do it as a treat, I really enjoy it.' 'Every trip to London, I make a special visit to the Harrod’s ice cream bar and I really do enjoy my two scoops of ice cream but it is a treat and it’s not something that I do regularly. But even he can't resist a tasty bite of chocolate now and again. When it comes to superfoods, Joe reccomends Maca root, Goji berries, Chia seeds and kale. So I would say that habits play a huge role in obesity.' 'When it comes to food, if you can add a juice or a smoothie or a plant to your diet on a regular basis and make a habit of it, it becomes less difficult and more like an everyday part of life. 'That’s just an example of using up what we’ve got, our legs and our arms, to propel us forward and move.' For example, if you were to make an effort for the next month that every time you came across an escalator or an elevator, you took the stairs, then after that month is up, it’s gonna be a natural habit for you when you see an elevator or escalator to go and look for the stairs. 'A lot of it is unproductive or negative habits that we have formed over our lifetime. So, other than moral support, what can we do to keep the weight off this year? I guess the biggest uncovering that I’ve found was that the more connected you are, the more you’re part of a community or a group, whether it be physical or online, the more successful you’re gonna be.'
